Downloading Your Web pages with Serif WebPlus 9

Serif WebPlus 9 and Speedy.uk.net are ideal partners for both creating and publishing your work on the Internet. As part of our support for WebPlus 9, if you sign up to Speedy using "Get Web Space" from WebPlus 9 itself you will receive a discount on your hosting package.

You can configure WebPlus 9 to delete files directly from the Speedy.UK.net server.

It is a good idea to make a back up of your file(s) before deleting them as you may delete the wrong one by mistake. See Downloading Files below

Downloading Files

Select File. Publish Site. Then choose Publish to Disk Folder...

The following window will appear, but the file destination maybe different and you will have more pages listed. Do not worry about this.

Now click the Choose Folder... button and select a location for where you want to store the back-up files on your computer.

Next, select the files you want to back-up by making sure they have a green tick in the box next to the page name. If you want to select all pages to back-up, click the Select All button.

Next click OK.

You will then see the following window.

There really isn't any need to view the website in a Web Browser at this point so click No.

To check the file(s) downloaded successfully browse to the file location you chose to store your files in.

Deleting Files

Select File. Publish Site. Then choose Maintain Web Site...

The following window will appear but with you Speedy.UK.net details filled in.

Now click the Maintain button. The below window will appear with your web site folders and files listed.

Next select the file(s) you want to delete by clicking on it. Then click the delete button. Please Note: once you click the delete button your file will be permanently deleted from our server.
