How do I create an index page?

When someone visits your web site the first page the Internet browser will look for is index.html, index.htm or default.htm. If you have not saved an index page the browser will not know what page to visit first and this will cause an error to occur.

If you are using Seriff WebPlus9 it should automatically create the index page for you. If however, you have deleted or renamed it by accident you will need to create a new one. To do this go to File, Publish Site and then Maintain Web Site.. Click the right mouse button on the file you want to be your index page and then select Rename. Then rename the page to be index.html
